In Shanghai, you can locate one of these crafty postcard cafes and post a card as far into the future as you like. There are 365 different boxes, one for each day of the coming year, and if you’d like to send your postcard anytime further into the future, you’ll just have to locate the postal box for that year. Let’s hope the cafes never go out of business — and hold your mail hostage in the process.

Will anyone go camping when the future is here? These inflatable tents by Heimplanet are getting quite a bit of attention online these days, and for good reason: these sci-fi designs are dead cool. Both the Cave for 2 or 3 people or Wedge for 2 people promise to be pitched quickly with just one inflation procedure. The rockin’ geodesic designs come with a nice touch in the form of arachnid-like air frames.
