SModcast is in my opinion the funniest podcast download on iTunes. Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s genesis seems to have been that two friends thought it would be a good way to stop the third friend potentially committing suicide. The aforementioned suicidal one is easily one of the funniest human beings on the planet.

Their non-linear, free form, banter is equal parts disturbing and gut-busting and has covered from first hand experience Hurricane Sandy, mental illness and the New Jersey devils. Politically incorrect, but full of heart and Staten Island panache.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Comics Curmudgeon, the gist is that Josh reads the terrible daily strips so we don’t have to. Paul Motisi is a good friend of mine, so I have nothing bad to say about him. It’s good that I don’t, because he’s exceptionally talented and creative. On one level, his work is very sleek and cartoonish, but the concepts and delivery of it have such heart and humor that comes across instantaneously. I’ve worked with Motisi many times, and what always impresses me is how he is able to use his own aesthetic and approach to bring out more of someone else’s own.

If you’re looking for a good laugh, you should definitely check out Wax’s latest video for his tune, Rosana. It’s Spanish flavored and infused with more then a hint of Mexican. In fact, you could liken the clip to a perfect burrito. It’s outer tortilla is the catchy beat which holds the song together, with the lyrics acting as meat dipped in a little spice. The crunchy salad comes in the form of a sweet Mexican two piece and it’s all finished off with a little sauce; hello Rosana. Even if you don’t like the clip, it’s still a banging good tune, if you know what I mean.

Meet the shouting men’s choir of Finland. They run in teams of thirty, dress in all black, drink Vodka, and shout in unison. You might hear them performing at the MoMA. You might run into them performing for the President at the White House.
