“Finding pointer… Please hold still.” “Pointer located. Pointing…” Priceless words for a priceless website. This site has an endless repository of images with people pointing cheekily to where your mouse cursor is onscreen. What can we say? We are easily amused.
I have a folder in my bookmarks called Time Wasters. It is the first place I go when I have been on my computer for a while and just want to zone out on silliness for a bit, rather get any actual ‘work’ done. The first in this list is Instant Cosby, a full screen […]
Finger painting is popular among children. But artist Dito Von Tease has transformed it into an art style and named it Ditology. He took pictures of his index finger and turned them into immediately recognizable famous faces. His portraits include depictions of Barack Obama, Steve Jobs, Hello Kitty, Micky Mouse and others
I was made aware of Jeremy Wong’s playful approach to Life Buoy Soap’s You Eat What You Touch advertising campaign recently. The pug loaf in particular made me smile. His other work is definitely worth a look, too.
By now, many of us take the modern standard of sleek, streamlined web design for granted. The Geocities-izer reminds us things weren’t always so. Named for the defunct host of the most optically offending homepages of all time, it correctly boasts that it will make any webpage look like it was made by a 13 […]
The next time you go ‘What the fuck is wrong with the world?’, head to this site so you can ask the exact same question and get a randomly-generated answer in MAD CAPS like ‘WHEN AN ANIMAL YOU THINK IS CUTE FUCKING BITES YOU’ and ‘FUCKING BILLS’. You can go on being angry, but the beauty is when you finally resign yourself to the sad, screwed-up state of the world, pick the THIS IS FUCKING DEPRESSING, WTF IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD? option and get greeted with just as irate responses like ‘THERE ARE FUCKING NARWALS’. Well, there’s no pleasing us humans, is there? Enjoy.
Not everyone appreciates the 80s hair accoutrement of choice: the Scrunchie (just a few months ago, a Hilary Clinton staff member commented to the press that they wanted to ban her Scrunchie wearing). But, finally, there is blog not only giving due recognition to the fabric-covered elastic hair ties, but also to the vital role they have played in accessorising Olympians. A special shout out must go to giant pink fuzzy Ukrainian Scrunchie, which participated in 1994 Olympic ice-stating. Gold.
Sometimes the dumbest idea is the best idea. Case in point Birdswitharms. This is photoshop at its most inspiring. It is simply tons of photos of birds doctored up to have human arms. I will forever hate myself for not thinking of this first. Thankfully though, somebody else did.
Old gold! Lasagna Cat is one of those sites that never leaves you. I bookmarked this site and not just to my bookmarks folder, it went straight onto my bookmarks tool bar, along with my everyday bookmarks like, Internet banking, Email, Facebook and GOOP (that’s a joke). I don’t know what or why Lasagna Cat […]
Yes, yes, we all love Babs. Well, some of us do anyway. And now you can make your very own customized Barbra Streisand song. Yes, Happy Days Are Here Again.
I was ready to hate on People of Da Hood for being another racist, classist meme blog making fun of poor people, but it’s actually mostly just pictures of weird-looking people doing weird things. Some of the images I don’t even really get, like the guy shoveling sand/salt onto icy roads out of the back of truck. Why is that funny? Am I missing something?
The tagline on the This Is Indexed blog says that its little graphical representations of interesting or funny everyday correlations are published ‘weekday mornings as the coffee brews’. Really, the perfect time for a petit-four-sized bit of life analysis. Some days are better than others, but I’ve found myself going there often for a little […]
Our friends over at Crank Texts have done it again. The guys send out text messages ‘to total strangers’, then publish the confused, yet surprisingly engaged responses that come back. This one, in several parts (see below), charts a trip to, well, you know where.
