Oxford University student, Alwyn Collinson, using the Twitter account @RealTimeWWII, has undertaken a six year project to Tweet the events of the Second World War as they happened. Yup, he’s sending up to 40 Tweets daily of reportage from the ‘battlefield’, re-living the dramas and tensions as they happened and spicing the feed up with eyewitness testimony and newsreel footage. Hmmm, wonder if history will find a way of re-inventing itself?
