Italian artist and creative designer Flavio Melchiorre combines chromatic and iconographic effects with free-hand drawings, producing great explosions of colour through his abstract designs. With layered patterns and comic book-styled images, Melchiorre’s work resembles a trippy magic eye as you get lost in its depth. Melchiorre’s art can be seen engraved on special edition iphone cases, released by design collective Grove from their artist series.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
