Sophia Ainslie’s body of work, Fragments, speaks to the human body becoming frag­mented as well as the land­scape we live in. Using imagery collected from an X-ray, residential Google Earth maps, and tiny areas of photographs and sketches made while walking in the New England landscape, the works are very specific to place, both exterior and interior, as well as the space in between.
