We asked New York-based photographer Gregg Delman about the differences between shooting for print and online: ‘With online publications, the layouts are very specific. You need to shoot and crop to fit a specific box on the web page. With print, you have a bit more freedom. Editors are willing to layout there text around your images as long as its within reason. Also, there is a lot less time given for online shoots. All the MTV.com shoots have been done in a 9 x 10 foot office space with fifteen minutes max’. When I was a kid, I loved drawing haunted houses. I made little miniature ones out of construction paper and cardboard. I never thought to cover them in dough and allowing them to grow mold as Spanish artist Daniele Del Nero has. So gloriously creepy and gross. Read more

How old must Kermit be now? Not to old to collaborate with skater-friendly retailer Supreme and photographer Terry Richardson. Kermit, who usually wears nothing, has been hooked up with some new threads to advertise the brand. It seems Kermit and Terry are the perfect work partners: they’ve even released a video clip documenting the shoot.
This striking design — still in the planning stages — aims to covert a desolate, disused sand mine into a thriving environmental preserve and eco-resort. The development lists an impressive array of green designs, including living walls and a five-acre green roof, and effortlessly succeeds in that all important eco-feature of blending in with its surrounding environment. Found photos are nothing new, but Internet K-Hole is a nice little blogspot that has some pretty choice images sure to suck you in, including some rarely-seen ones of people like Nirvana, NWA, and Fabio. Some images are NSFW, but they’re not that bad. Read more
Caught The Dust Dive the other night at Glasslands. They’re a bunch of hippies, but even I have to admit, they’re atmospheric live show – consisting of violin, gently strummed guitar, a few piano and sampler twinkles here and there, and sound samples from the found footage projected behind the band – is really powerful, like the warm rush of fond memories that hits you an instant before the mushroom cloud annihilates everything. Frontman Bryan Zimmerman even plays the musical saw, and you really can’t argue with that.
