Until May 20, dublab is having its Flash Forward Proton Drive fundraiser at which its djs and special guests will be broadcasting live and sharing some amazing music to inspire your support. The Proton Drive comes twice a year and are essential to dublab’s existence. Listener contributions represent thirty percent of their annual operating expenses. So get involved and help dublab evolve.
Jaimie Zollars probably paints some of the most ridiculously detailed children’s books I’ve ever seen. Yet, somehow she manages to give it all a the same perfect, slightly creepy atmosphere that draws you in without overwhelming you. The Slidy Diner is my favorite. Read more

Black Eyed Dog is the project of Fabio Parrinello, a singer-songwriter from Varese, in northern Italy. His second album, Rhaianuledada (Songs To Sissy), brims with a brooding intensity, referencing the best British folk ballads of the past. Rhaianuledada (Songs To Sissy) was recorded at Vicolo Recording Studio in Sicily by Fabio Genco and was mastered by Luca Martegani in Varese. Listen to the track Honeysuckle Gal.

The Hussy Summer 2009 Exotic Escape collection is up for viewing. I quite like the leather Zanzibar sandals for a stylish casual look that’s slightly sophisticated. While there are a few nice dresses in the new line, I much prefer the accessories and clutches. That’s partially why the rest of the globe has come to love this iconic Aussie label, right?
