Who is this girl and why haven’t I heard of her before? These were my exact thoughts when I saw this video popping up on one of my friend’s pages the other day. Apparently Fighting Kind is the first single from Melbourne musician, Ainslie Wills. Her forthcoming album is titled You Go Your Way, I’ll Go Mine, and if it keeps what the first outtake is promising, then I’ll have to own a copy. The video for Fighting Kind was directed by Jem Selig, who shot it over two days in a small darkroom.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
