To show just how ridiculous and unreal the fashion industry is, Spanish artist Yolanda Dominguez got a group of ordinary women to pout and strike model poses in everyday life as they stand in queues, dine at fast food joints and more. Understandably, their over-the-top moves are met with many a befuddled look. Taken out of context, these poses are banal. Then again, they don’t make much sense in fashion magazines or catalogues either.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
