Jinyoung Yoon studied photography at Arizona State University and is now based in Seoul. Of this project, she says, ‘I seek what is at the boundary of grotesque and beautiful. The ambiguous feeling that is both repulsive and attractive at the same time reminds me of the predicament we face in everyday life, including the relationships we get involved in’.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
