Super hyped producers, Diplo & Switch, have joined forces as Major Lazer to record a thumping album called Guns Don’t Kill People, Lazer’s Do. Already responsible for pioneering the hottest ghetto sounds — including tracks for M.I.A and Santigold — the pair’s genre-mashing debut will be released in June on New York label, Downtown, home to Santigold, Spank Rock, and Kid Sister. We have an MP3 from the album, Hold The Line, available for free download in our Music Download section, which is in the third column of the Lost At E Minor site.

I interviewed the mysterious Suitman some time ago for the Australian magazine, Riot. Even then it was clear that, with his immaculately pressed suit and crisp white shirts, he was an icon – both stylistically and conceptually. New York’s Infinity Window make some tripped-out, droning, psychedelic raagas that would be appropriate scoring films by Kenneth Anger or John Carpenter. Ominous and dark, the duo makes sounds like the rebirth of an ancient god.

I’m not much of a jewelry guy, but if bling is in order, it’s ordered from my man Osa at Complete Technique. Originally from Japan, Osa is now based in Dumbo, Brooklyn and makes the finest metal jewelry, on par with any of his ancestor’s samurai swords. From speaker rings to turntable pendants, it’s all fresh and mostly music or hip-hop related. He’s been at it for about ten years and works harder than most people I know. If you need some jewelry, show him some love.
