I ran across Slinkachu’s work a couple of years ago. He never seems to run out of fresh material for his tiny satirical street portraits. His book cover for Dimitri Verhulst’s book The Misfortunates is a great example. Even more interesting: when he completes the project, he abandons the set and lets the little folk fend for themselves. File this under: wish I had thought of that.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
