‘If its not on it’s not on’ is arguably one of the best catchphrases to emerge in the fight against the spread of the AIDS virus, and is still remembered long after it was first launched. Yet the war against this insidious disease is not over, and years later it seems people still have a lot to learn. Designer’s Against AIDS is one organization working hard to spread the word and its latest campaign is sure to catch some eyes. Check it out and do your part
Italian photographer Olivo Barbieri is recognized as the founder of the innovative technique of creating, as Wikipedia notes, ‘miniature still photography from actual landscapes by simulating shallow depth of field via the use of tilt-shift lens photography’. Read more
Jon Rafman’s much talked about Google Street View’s project brings together accidental moments, beautifully captured at random by the unknowing Google street cars as they document our big, old world house by house, bared bum by bared bum. The photos capture rare snippets of everyday life in an eye opening, beautiful, sometimes disturbing, often hilarious way. Read more

Old-school, timeless French is the vibe of creative agency Mother London’s latest campaign for Stella Artois. Titled Recyclage de Luxe, these massive, 1960s vintage-esc posters lining the walls of London’s tube aim to unabashedly promote Stella’s green credentials. The vibrant, revival ads, along with other campaign gimmicks, are all part of the brand’s efforts to boost its environmental image. Read more

Cloud Control have just unravelled a newly recorded track, Gold Canary, from their forthcoming 2010 album. It’s straight up pastoral Blue Mountains goodness. I actually heard it live earlier this year and it sounded quite rad.

My friend, illustrator Ai Tatebayashi, is known for her lovely color schemes and she forwarded me the link to this beautiful handknit accessory store from Istanbul. With Etsy, we can now purchase talented designer’s work from all over the world. And I couldn’t resist, I bought a necklace-scarf and cannot wait until it comes to my door! Read more

New York Times illustrator Christoph Niemann has created a brilliant visual diary outlining the peril and pitfalls that beset the everyday passenger based on his recent experience flying from New York to his home town of Berlin. Read more
