Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, I started my artistic career as a musician at the age of 15 when gifted by gramma with my first acoustic guitar. I’m the lead singer and songwriter of the Brazilian rock band, Lotus but have also been in the world of visual arts and painting, building art installations and curating several art exhibitions since 2007. My own artwork reflects my personality: simple, clear and direct.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
