Luke Rooney may have a lack of talent but that won’t stop this Sydney-based wannabe artist from starting a Kickstarter project. Titled Not Very Good Caricatures [Done By Me (Of You)], Rooney hopes to entice his backers with a caricature of yourself in either black and white or colour, and delivered to your home address all for as little as $3 in support.

Zack Danger Brown’s dream was simple: to make some potato salad. In order to make potato salad, he needed $10. So he turned to Kickstarter for funding. As of writing, his potato salad project has become one of Kickstarter’s most funded projects in history, raising $21,776 – [EDIT: Now $68,500!] – 6850 times his original funding goal – with 24 days to go!

Film director Harmony Korine (Gummo, Trash Humpers) is working on a new film called God’s Joke. This time his film will be financed by crowd-funding through Cinema Reloaded, a project hosted by the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
