MP5 + TO/LET are a collective of three girls from Rome and from Bologna who have been working on installations and graffiti since 2006. This graffiti was created in Medika, a new squat in Zagreb, Croatia. They were invited there for the Vox Feminae Festival, and this was painted in four days in the main entrance. Read more

Zeljka Fuderer Levak is a graduate student at the Art Academy In Osijek, Croatia. She’s studying new media, but paints and illustrates on the side: ‘I have made short videos for MTV Adria last year and I’m also doing t-shirts stickers, posters, urban interventions, and installations’.

 

I met Caroline Thaw at Brooklyn’s Third Ward in one of the courses I taught. The first time I saw samples of her work, I was happily overwhelmed by her diversity of styles, her cute yet twisted characters, the radiant and infinite beauty in every piece she made, her delicate line, and her strong sense of style and scenographic space. Part of her work’s charm comes from her experience in theater design designing sets and custumes for productions that traveled around the world (she is from England, originally), and her tremendous love for kids.

Maybe I’m particularly partial to this Accidental Chinese Hipster blog because I grew up in Hong Kong and it makes me nostalgic. But mostly I just think there is nothing in this world cooler than an unsuspecting trendsetter. Read more

NASA has released some pretty amazing audio recordings of sounds from the moons of Saturn. The weirdest thing about them is that they actually sound like Theremin warbles and echoey whooshy sounds from ‘50s movies about space.
