Australia has its fair share of outlaws, but most of the time we only hear about men and the interesting things they got up to. Well, Aussie ladies are now having their time to shine, with a collection of ‘Sydney’s underbelly during the 1920’s’ courtesy of the NSW Police Forensic Archives.

The Russian Criminal Tattoo Archive documents Russian criminals’ tattoos and their coded meanings — and includes tattoo drawings by prison guard Danzig Baldaev and photographs by Sergei Vasiliev.
