All hail the Record Store Day. What is it, I hear you say? Well, it’s an international event created to support independent record stores, which takes place every year on the third Saturday of April. So what does it mean for us, the punters? A banquet of music festivities! I’ll be popping down to my local Rough Trade East in London as they’re hosting ten acts in ten hours, including a DJ set from Andrew Weatherall, and live music from Wave Machines, Ebony Bones, and Let’s Wrestle. Special edition vinyl will be selling, too. Hmmm, I wonder if I can snag some Antony & the Johnsons.
