What’s this? Well, it’s Take On Me by A-Ha performed on Mario Paint Composer. Aha! Ok, so it doesn’t quite have the punch of the original version. But the melody will still stay ingrained in your head for hours. Read more

With 175 million video streams, OK Go is the most-downloaded band ever. The group created an international phenomenon in 2005 with its A Million Ways video, which featured the four members dancing in a backyard, and followed it with the decade’s most-viewed music video, Here It Goes Again. Working with friend and video director Tim Nackashi, OK Go has cooked up a color-drenched video for lead single WTF? using props purchased at the 99¢ Only Store and the band’s trademark single-shot approach.

Never before have metrical nodding love bears been so cool. I’m pretty fond of Light Speed Champion, but in the end, it’s these funky, adorable, furred creatures that give Basement Jaxx’s new My Turn video clip such appeal. Get your boogie on people. You know you want to.

This is the new video for Vladislav Delay — the alter-ego of Finnish composer Sasu Ripatti, also known for his work as Luomo and Uusitalohas. Taken from the recent Tummaa album, the video for the single Toive was directed by Carolina Melis (who has previously made videos for labelmates Efterklang and Colleen) and Lorenzo Sportiello, and is a journey into a spectacular miniature landscape, with crystals forming and transforming into new substances. Neato video by artist and musician Jean-Paul Frenay about some futuristic corporation that has developed ‘organic virtual reality’ software designed to retrieve the memories of mankind. We assume that ‘organic’ simply means drippy, bulbous, and tendril-y.

A follow-up to New York photographer Martynka Wawrzyniak ‘Kids’ show, Ketchup exposed another dimension of her subjects tied together through a spraying of the thickly tomato sauce — at Wawrzyniak herself. It’s quite a sight! This exclusive video made for the Feature Shoot site captures the behind the scenes action from her experimental performance which was filmed and screened the day of the exhibition, alongside her appropriated imagery.

A Japanese game show where you have to combat a sped-up treadmill, eating food bits along the way risk being dumped in a pool of water, and ultimately reach the end with your dignity at least somewhat in tack? It couldn’t exist. Could it?

Lu Cong’s cultural identity, split between mainland China where he was born in 1978 and small-town Midwest where he immigrated to 11 years later, informs his beautiful portraits mostly of white, American women. The images harken back to old cigarette ads from pre-Communist China, as well as the 18th-century Romantics in the West. Read more

Hmmm, I don’t know if it’s the extra strong coffee I’m gulping down, or that faintest slither of feel good sunshine that’s creeping through the blinds, but this song is making me feel mildly euphoric, and that kinda works right now. Play it loud. Play it through headphones. And imagine you’re decked out in day glo polyester with a dramatic burst of velvet lining. Damn, my feet just can’t stop from dancin’.

One part wilderness, one part fashion, all Poppy and Moe: a vintage-inspired knitwear brand with a fabulous line-up of hand-drawn graphics. We love this brand for the nature undercurrent in their designs, all printed on chic silhouettes: a fox with flowers meets an off the shoulder pullover, a cat goddess living on a deep-plunged racerback tank.
