This locally-based company boasts gorgeous brew from an ancient tea garden that has allegedly supported pu’er tea cultivation for 1300 years. And equally rooted in the past is the packaging.

Drawing on the tradition of wrapping pu’er tea as cakes, Pure Pu’er transformed the concept into miniature truffle sized pu’er bons bons. Both raw and ripened pu’er are available in lovely glass vials, or on a paper tray filled with individual mini pu’er cakes. Textured fiber paper wraps both for a finish that evokes the raw and natural setting of the gardens in Yunnan. Talk about old-school.

Founded in St Petersburg, this famous teahouse has been churning out celebrated Russian teas for more than 140 years. Now headquartered out of Paris, its Eastern roots remain, with Russian blends of black teas boasting names like Prince Vladimir and Anastasia. But whether you go for the green, black, red, herbal, or wellness stash, these sophisticated blends of premium leaves, herbs, and spices are all delicious. Better yet is Kusmi’s baroque style packaging. These beautiful — and reusable — tin canisters are saturated with ornate, intricate, and colorful illustrations fit for a czar.
