The tourist patter and the trademark infringements hide great new artists and clothing-makers. One guy I always cross the street TOWARDS is Tom Hart. His chaotic shirts free me from wearing dark colors all the time. They are reversible, too. I wore one at Lollapalooza and it looked sweet on the 50 foot screen. Then I lost it in a hotel room. Radlands Clothing was started in 2010 by the talented duo of Mathew Gribben and Sheldon Abba. Initially offering only a few t-shirts and beanies, Radlands has been growing steadily and is now offering sweatshirts, jackets, backpacks, and accessories. I really like their low-key branding, clever graphics, and heavy psychadelic influence.

Set up in 2011, Rebel Unlit is a printing collaboration between London based Artists Neil Butler and Shanney Mulcahy. They make short run screen-printed t-shirts and limited edition prints from their studio in East London. All the t shirts are fair traded and printed by hand and, as a result, each one is unique.

Rebel Unlit groups its collaborative endeavours under the name PK Party. The first collaboration is a t shirt designed with artist Claire Douglass, adapted from her interactive installation The Great Beard of Joy. La Mano Fria is a graphic artist who uses sampled imagery and re-configures them and in a way mirrors what hip-hop producers do with vinyl records.
