What happens when you take miniature figurines and combine them with office stationery? Office Life – Small People. Created by German artist Bettina Güber, this imaginative collection of photos transforms ‘her work desk into a world filled with danger and excitement, turning staplers into deathtraps and tape dispensers into slides’. Going through these photos almost makes me want to go out and buy some new stationery for work. Almost.

Rhodia: beautiful French stationary

Said to be the most popular stationary brand in France, everything made by Rhodia is a thing of beauty to me. I’m not sure if it’s the soft texture of their journal covers under my fingers, or just the well thought-out design of their meeting books. It might even be the distinctive orange used for all their products, which has been around since the 1920s as the standard hue for cardstock and has been kept to this day.
