We’re on the hunt for more information (like, how can we get our hands on some?!) and will be sure to update accordingly. In the meantime, look lovingly towards these sweet bottles, just as you do the end of winter.

The drawings that take center stage vary with the flavors, but all seem to involve some sort of monster versus the villagers scenario. There’s the blackberry ogre being wrangled in by some islanders, the gigantic ginger munching on trees, and the massive beast made of mint leaves. Well, whatever the scene, the hip design is as a sweet and fresh as the ice-cold fruit infused drink within. Cheers to that.

Stenciled lettering and a layout reminiscent of old boxing posters and screen prints now adorns these humble bottles. And the cider too is not-too-shabby, in flavors like traditional, ginger lime, or sparkling medium-dry — perfect for that crisp autumn day when you’re feeling nostalgic yourself.

In one remote mountain village region of China, this incredible tradition continues, where monkeys are specially trained to climb and collect the tea on the mountain face.
Apparently, the most gorgeous — and rare — brew you’ll ever tasted, chock full of antioxidants and soothing goodness. And don’t worry animal lovers – the fine folks at Edible, who produce the tea, promise no monkeys were harmed in the making of your cuppa.

And indeed, that’s the point. Intended to reflect the artisanal values of this new chewing gum company – as well as its distinctive ‘Englishness’ — this stylized packaging is as refreshing as the peppermint itself. Designed by London-based B&B Studio, simple, bright colors and a clever mint leaf logo adorn each box, which slides out to reveal a moustachioed icon, like Salvador Dali or Charlie Chaplin. Better yet, it also holds tiny pieces of paper for your used chew. Brilliant.

The gum’s not too shabby either. Made from natural products, like beech trees and peppermint grown in the UK, Peppersmith claims to be the first British all-natural chewing gum. And not only are the ingredients sourced sustainably but the packaging is too, made exclusively from FSC card and paper. So that’s the good news. The bad? Right now Peppersmith is only available in the UK. Sorry to your burst your bubble.

Made of 100% organic chocolate sourced in the Caribbean, the brand boasts too many cool sweets to list. But, we’ll still try. There’s green anise, fleur de sel, olive oil, and Ethiopian coffee beautifully paired with rich, deep dark chocolate.

There’s also a white chocolate collection which sees this sweet variety matched with lemon and red pepper or honey and almonds, among other tantalizing flavors. Bon bons, cocoas, and a whole plethora of mixed collections are also on their list, all creatively fused with inventive ingredients and sublime natural chocolate. And then there is the design. Like the purity of ChocoLate Orgániko, the design too is minimalist though its simplicity still shouts. The graphic packaging is full of bright colors and rad typeface that is hard to miss. But with chocolate this good, you won’t want to anyway.

Now, in preparation for Melbourne’s Spring Fashion Week in early September, this same Beta beer has slipped into its most recent attire, designed by Melbourne-based fashion house, Trimäpee.

Together, NELSON and Trimäpee designers Peter Strateas and Mario-Luca Carlucci collaborated to turn the humble bottle into a means of expression, in line with Trimäpee’s eclectic brand and philosophy. The resulting design emphasizes textures, patterns, cuts, and fits, resembling a coat of arms with buttons, chords, and zippers. The limited edition project is the third in a series of collaborative NELSON labels.

The creator of the noodle brand of the same name, Mr. Lee’s instant noodles are about as popular as the man himself. And it was for that reason that the international design firm, Design Bridge, worked to create an image for the brand that reflected the character of Mr. Lee, while also boasting its own uniqueness.

The result was a quite literal interpretation of the Noodle King, with his unquestionable wit, celebrated smile, and boldness. The grinning illustrations that adorn the noodle containers are a sort of caricature of Mr. Lee, yet they remain honest to the product and its founder. Countless design awards — and Norwegians — agree that whatever the history or motivation, it works.
