Designer Ed Chew has created these cool looking lamps using drink packets that are unfolded and then refolded into hexagonal and pentagonal sections. They reflect shadows and patterns on the surfaces around them, and can be arranged into a geodesic sphere or any other desired shape. Perfect for those of us who are environmentally conscious.
Satoshi Itasaka’s Sun Rising Lamp props a LED lamp against a black sculpture (not sure if this can also double up as a bench) to create what looks like sunrise against a mountainous landscape. The lamp is inspired by the Japanese tradition of worshipping at sunrise during the beginning of the year, and a reminder to ‘change your daily action of turning on the light into meaningful ones’. Full of zen, this lamp.
