These Light Container pendant lamps by designer Martín Azúa may just be black metal baskets that hold up diffused glass lightbulbs. Still, they are so sleek, it creates a magical illusion of orbs of light being scooped up in wireframes. It all looks suitably impressive. We are obviously impressed.

Satoshi Itasaka’s Sun Rising Lamp props a LED lamp against a black sculpture (not sure if this can also double up as a bench) to create what looks like sunrise against a mountainous landscape.
