Wood grain keyboard is just asking to be touched

Designer Michael Roopenian has designed the incredibly cool Engrain Tactile keyboard with sand-blasted wood grain keys to ‘engage the touch sense in key recognition’ and ‘attune the keyboard to human sensitivities’. Unfortunately it’s just a prototype for now. If we had this keyboard we’d just look for an excuse, any excuse, to type on it. Also, we’ll probably never shake off this incredible craving for ridge chips we already have right now.

I’m a fan of the whole steampunk look. This guy does it the best. I’m saving my pennies to get something built for my office. I love his laptop and customised keyboard designs. Long live steampunk.
