I’m really digging the Horizons app, an ‘interactive sound toy’ for the iPhone and iPad which merges the beautifully atmospheric sounds of Eli Murray (Gentleforce) with generative visuals of Lukasz Karluk. Says Karluk: “it’s an exploration of colour, sound and form. The design of the piece focuses on creating subtle colour refractions in a rich colour scape complemented by deep, immersive sounds’. For the guys of this world that just can’t get it going, there’s this brilliant new iPhone app from Angelina Amerson. As Amerson told PixelatedGeek, My Virtual Girlfriend has twenty levels of relationship to complete: ‘To complete a level, you must make your virtual girlfriend happy and fill your heart meter up by completing an action with her, like buying her roses, holding her hands, giving her a kiss, speaking to her, touching her, and by just responding to her questions’. Our friends over at Ghostly, who consistently dig up the glitchiest, choicest electronica, have just released a brilliant new music discovery iPhone app which is available for download through their website. Stylistically The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is hard to pin down, except to say that they throw one hell of a party – which may be why those music-loving folks at Apple chose them to help sell what’s being touted as ‘the funnest iPod ever’. Sun-drenched pop melodies collide with Technicolor dreams, anchored by the band’s shared love of the classic soul stylings of Marvin, Stevie and Sly that can be heard in the horns snaking through Around The Bend, as well as the slinky The Sun Ain’t Shining No More [below], the Thomas Gold remix of which we have available for free download in the Music Download section of Lost At E Minor [psst, it's in the third column], along with a stack of other cool tunes. Get those iPods ‘a thumpin’!

These vegan designer bags from Matt & Nat are made out of anywhere between 15 and 55 recycled plastic bottles. It also uses no leather, which is a big plus given that according to the UN, raising cattle generates more greenhouse gases than all the cars and trucks in the world combined.
