Some art, no matter what trends come and go, exists in its own time capsule, a boundless moment in space. Ellen Rogers’ photography reminds me of this. Her images reflect a striking allure and mystery, yet the scenes have almost a clichéd originality, like you’ve seen them a million times before. Yet, you have no idea where to actually find them.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
