I’ve noticed that a recent trend among paper cut art is book sculptures but Su Blackwell’s book-cut sculptures far exceed most that I’ve seen. Reminiscent of pop-up books, Blackwell literally uses the subject of each book to make her own sculptural version. I love how each three-dimensional piece so beautifully captures the book.
