B Boys fans take note. Brooklyn’s finest, The Beastie Boys, are re-issuing their seminal album, Check Your Head, along with the original sixteen bonus cuts, rarities and assorted nonsense. Word. There will be five different steelos available, from a digital-only package, to a limited four LP vinyl, fabric-wrapped hardcover book case edition. It’s available for a limited time at a special discount. You’ll also find band commentaries, videos, original album art, and a Wave Skater game. Kinda hot hot heat mixed with burning molten lava.

I’ve been a longtime fan of Jill Greenberg’s stunning and subtly manipulated photography for some time. Her incredible talent for accentuating her subject’s true personality, whether they be celebrities or animals, is uncanny. Scanners’ new single Salvation
I love this track by London based rock group, Scanners, which is off their latest album, Submarine. Having toured with acts such as The Horrors, The Wedding Present, The Charlatans, Electric Six, and Juliette & The Licks, Scanners could well blow up in 2010. Figuratively speaking, not literally. Yu Xiao was born in Zi Bo, Shandong, China. She received her M.A. in Photography from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. In this work, Never Grow Up, Yu Xiao digitally created child versions of herself as a commentary on China’s one child rule and the intense focus on childhood that results. Read more
