The Ceres Environmental Park in Brunswick, Melbourne is a little inner-city oasis, and is as close to a hippy commune as anything you’ll find in the city. Not-for-profit and sustainability are the keywords here, and there are regular events from live gigs to programs for everything environment related. The café provides ridiculously healthy food, sustainable innovations are in action on every structure and building, with accompanying explanations, and it’s also wonderful just to browse around the large, relaxing site. Especially popular is the bike shed, where for a small membership fee, the tools and experts are then available to help you repair your bike, or even fix up one of the carcasses for yourself.
Here’s Mr. Postman. He loves to delivering letters, hatemail, bills, spams, and packages that contains cheap medicine from Mexico. But he had only one problem until now. It’s Sparkle. He’s a bad dog.
Stewy does a range of stencils of indigenous British animals and the odd musical characters in and around a specific area of North London. I’ve seen his work develop from black and white to multiple colour and small to large scale. It started with cats and dogs, and he recently did a full-scale horse. I love walking around town and seeing a great page in a magazine without paying for it. Read more

‘I have been trying to go with my whims. Fuck it, let’s make an iPod album’. This statement from Team Genius leader Drew Hermiller was the jumping off point in the creation of the band’s debut self-titled full-length album, one of the most interesting and eclectic pop records of the year. ‘Basically it’s a reaction to the modern way music is consumed and listened to’, Hermiller says. ‘The idea of an album with a focused sound and a complete statement kind of gets lost now-a-days. Everyone shuffles around, so I thought “why not write an album that does the same thing?” Luckily, the band did an awesome job of keeping up with it’. The Illuminated Sea Cookie Pin by Stephanie Simek mixes underwater wonders and light to add a little sparkle to your wardrobe. The sea cookie, a member of the sand dollar family, is back lit by a white LED. When turned on, the light illuminates all of the creature’s natural patterns and intricacies. Read more
