Exactly one year ago at the Cannes Film Festival, we saw a 29 minute video of a young director named Carleton Ranney. We immediately liked his aesthetic, and his talent and potential was so obvious that we made a point to track him down. One year later, he has already directed two of our most recent videoclips — Made For You and RGB [watch below] — from our new release, Explode. Finally available on Vimeo, here it is the first short cut by Carleton Ranney, called Slasher.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
