Counting down to Christmas is one of the most exciting times in a kid’s year (…and an adult’s). Designed by Anne Lehmann, the Christmas Candle is a more grown-up version of the calendar […]
For those of us who don’t particularly like being given candleholders as gifts, these might change your mind. Designed by Dutch designer Merel Bekking, Mr. Fahrenheit is a concrete candleholder that looks just like a plumping pipe.

Each candle comes in the shape of a hand with the wick sticking out of the middle finger, begging to be lit. The candles were used in protests against Japan’s nuclear energy use during the anniversary of the March 2011 tsunami.
This studio is insane, their skulls are amazing, and the candles are a centerpiece to behold. Sobiet Studio is in the deepest south of Cape Town. Candles litter every mantlepiece and shelf, while Cuban props from all eras sit in each corner of the room. You can sit and have a coffee in a lounging area comprised of over 10 antique dental chairs. This studio is a creative space of the highest sophistication.

Calvin Klein went on to steal the idea off him, aptly titling the scent, Ocean. The point of my TV comedy […]
