A master of juxtaposition, Canadian photographer Liz Wolfe has updated her site with her newest series which focuses on characters and confection. The photos are never what they first seem, revealing something a little more macabre on closer inspection: a meat tree, a diseased dear, a melting icy pole dripping blood. It’s all presented in hyper-real candy colours.

Currently running at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles, Crazy 4 Cult 3D is the third installment of an annual show created by filmmakers Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier in which one hundred artists are given an opportunity to reinterpret their favorite classic cult films. Read more

I think Anne Geddes spent ten years in the desert with Dr. Seuss doing hallucinogens. She woke up one searing Nevada morning and decided her new name was Peggy Noland. Then she moved to Kansas City and released the line that is currently featured on her website. At least, that’s what I think.
