I’m actually genuinely compelled by Zomgies 2, a scrolling flash game where you are a Pulp Fiction sort of hero killing zombies. The music is great, and the little narrative interludes are really dramatic and awesome, but in a cartoony, almost Futurama way.
Rarely is a film politically poignant as well as wonderfully written, acted and shot. The second feature from director Kimberly Peirce of Boys Don’t Cry was inspired by her brother, who joined the army, and was only possible after months of meticulous research. Read more
Here’s a sweet, angular house that simultaneously stands out and blends in with the old neighborhood in Tokyo where it is located. It’s designed by Jun Igarashi Architects, and was commissioned for a two-generation family as their private home. Read more
This is a simple blog featuring photos of Charlie, a coyote who lives with a person and some other animals. There are a lot of cute animal photoblogs out there, but this one is more concerned with motion, elegance, outdoor scenery, and frequent use of Old West-y sepia tones that highlight Charlie’s amazing fur texture. Australian label Eliza Clare/Adornus is the creative project of Samantha Grant, Sally Wilson and Emma Jackson and is named after Sarah Eliza Clare, a noted couturier in Sydney during the 1930s and 40s who was actively involved in the fashion industry until her early 70s. Read more

My friend Josh Van Horne, a local Baltimore artist, did this amazing mural in our neighborhood that depicts the history of this warehouse-laden area.
