Boxfresh is a British streetwear company notable for its emphasis on DIY fashion. Their Boxfresh vs Series, a collection of collaborations ranging from straight fashion into the bicycle arena, has just launched their latest battle — between Boxfresh and Pete Fowler, of Super Furry Animals artwork fame. This illustration by Richard Lee was on the cover of a motorcycle magazine in San Francisco, published in September 2008. They were doing an issue on motorcycle bar fights. Says Lee of the work: ‘The version I sent was the original, but the editor decided that he didn’t want the pink dildo in there, so the actual printed version was replaced with a wrench. I still think the original idea with the pink dildo was funnier’. Yes, so do we.
A bunch of British researchers with time and money on their hands have created a printer that prints 3D designs in chocolate.

Fitting Forward is a new Hamburg based Concept-Store which shows what simmers secretly behind the scenes. Every two months a new headstrong theme world will evolve out of a composition of fashion, product, accessories and illustration. Some of these Free Crappy Portraits are not that crappy, and regardless of the skill of the artists, they’re all incredibly entertaining.
Strip away the cookie monster vocals and downtuned, distorted guitars, it’s hard to imagine death metal still reading as death metal, but 8-bit duo Dr. Zilog manage to do just that. The Floridian sound-card tweakers make some pretty amazing original, NES tunes that are strangely compelling, catchy, and actually quite metal.
