Outsider filmmaker Bill Zebub is even more crass and shameless than Nick Zedd. With films like Rape is a Circle, Jesus Christ: Serial Rapist, and Dolla Morte (a film made completely with dolls, in which George Bush tries to attain immortality by killing Dracula), it’s clear he isn’t aiming for Cannes. But he has his devoted fans — most of whom have long, greasy hair and beer bellies. His penchant for lower than low budget special effects, bad acting, tasteless humor, and scantily clad women may put most people off, but that’s precisely what he’s aiming to do. Zebub also has a great metal radio show on WFMU called Professor Dum Dum’s Lab, on which he plays his German alter-ego, Professor Dum Dum: Scientist of Music and Human Behavior. His remake of his 2005 film The Worst Horror Movie Ever Made, which attempts to cram every conceivable horror movie cliche into an hour and a half, will be released in March.
