]]> Gone Bush: a new art series by Beck Wheeler

My latest body of work is me going with the flow, taking all the things I love and squishing them together on slabs of wood. Gone Bush is a series of work I have been working on for about six months.

It started after reading a series of books called Petticoat Pioneers, a series which records early pioneering stories from New Zealand and Australia. It has evolved into a series of work about discovery, adventure and the mystery of arriving in a new land. Gone Bush opens on April 24 at FortyFiveDownstairs Gallery in Melbourne.

OMG I love BMD. When I first saw the work of BMD I almost crashed my car. After moving to Auckland from Melbourne, I had thought my days of seeing kick arse street art were over. How wrong I was!
