If you’ve ever romanticized about exploring the tastes of India on a train, then Bangalore Express in London is your kind of joint. Here, contemporary Indian cuisine is served to heaps of young and enthusiastic Londoners, within an interior that unabashedly mimics train booths — only more sleek and modern. Linear grooved walls with abstract painted blocks, tube steel ladders, and double height booths create the coach-vibe though a real sense of intimacy still remains. Read more

How old must Kermit be now? Not to old to collaborate with skater-friendly retailer Supreme and photographer Terry Richardson. Kermit, who usually wears nothing, has been hooked up with some new threads to advertise the brand. It seems Kermit and Terry are the perfect work partners: they’ve even released a video clip documenting the shoot.
Musicians in Jacksonville, Florida, often plop themselves amongst breakfasting families to nurse their hangovers at the Fox Restaurant. The food is a step above normal greasy spoon fare, but is just as cheap, with a full breakfast costing as little as three dollars. They even offer bananas as an alternative to grits or hash browns.
A colourful thing to do on the net is surf on over to She Breaks for Rainbows, an evolving collection of images and videos featuring rainbows (with ‘Double Rainbow’ tastefully excluded). Read more
Things continue to improve for New York’s metal scene, if Batillus are any indication. The sludge/doom trio from Brooklyn offer crushingly heavy, down-tuned and down-tempo instrumental riffage that sounds like what a mutant that has crawled out of Newtown Creek might have on his iPod. The band recently added vocalist Fade Kainer of Inswarm (Jarboe’s touring band) to its line-up.

Although these things look very cool, they could not possibly be comfortable. The artist behind them, John Kelly, wanted the clogs to resemble shoes for the Nike78 exhibition.
