John Burroughs was an American naturalist. I love the idea of understanding the animals that live around us, not just the ones that are in rainforests on the other side of the world. His book, Nature Near the Home, deals with the activities and creatures you’re likely to find in your back garden that may seem unremarkable. It’s on my reading list.
