Chris O’Doherty (also known as Reg Mombassa) was born in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1951 and migrated to Australia in 1969. He has been collaborating with the Australian firm Mambo, giving life to the Australian Jesus, a three-eyed guru who speeds up on a golden motorcycle, and to skeleton cars and trucks resting on a poetic landscape.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
