Now, this is very cool! The Australian designed and made BubbleDeck uses plastic bubbles the size of soccer balls, encased in steel, to create a honeycomb effect, eliminating the need for non-structural concrete in building construction. The Australian designEX Best New Product Award winner combines ‘economic considerations with environmental sustainability to prove that green construction is neither costly or complicated’.
Italian photographer Guido Castagnoli’s interest in photography began when he shot his first images using a family-owned Leica. Following this, he left his position at the advertising firm to devote himself entirely to photography. He is now represented by Periscope Creative, Berlin and Sasha Wolf Gallery, New York. These images are from his Provincial Japan series. Read more
There isn’t much to be said about these photos, they speak for themselves. I find myself revisiting them every other week or so just to be reminded of their brilliance. Sydney indie heroes (in the nicest possible way), The Paper Scissors (TPS to those that know the secret handshake) have made a video for their new single, The Bandit. And it’s good. Damn good.

Heavily influenced by music and film, the design team at Conquer Gear showcases their tees not as clothes, but indubitably as limited edition art pieces. That said, I wonder what film or music piece inspired Mr. Owl picture t shirt [below]? Led Zeppelin came to mind, but then so did Joni Mitchell!.
