Crazy guys making beautiful things. Raar means ‘strange’ in Dutch and this word is their central point of gravity with everything they do. Oh and purple must be their favorite colour.

Here’s some cute, doll-eyed portraits by Toronto-based illustrator Inkyung Choi that pay homage to the Impressionists. The singer in my band, Yoshiko, does a very disturbing impression of a beaver. We call it her ‘beaver face.’ It looks a little bit like Choi’s paintings. Read more
