Drink enough of this stuff and chances are you’ll feel a little green around the gills. Well, 360 Vodka have beaten you to the punch. They use stylish eco-friendly packaging and then employ an eco-audit to detail the environmental benefits of the packaging. So while it isn’t strictly organic, it is a ‘green’ vodka and as such, a giant, wobbly step in the right direction.
One of my favorite artists just did a limited edition VHS cover and poster for John Carpenter’s The Thing as well as the West Coast leg of French doom band Monarch’s tour with Trees. My band, Bloody Panda, will be doing the East Coast leg of the same tour. Read more
There is something almost apocalyptic about the intense black and white decimated, chaotic landscapes that French artist Didier Blondeau lovingly depicts.
This awesome promo video for the Lost At E Minor site was created by our friends over at New York-based design studio, Lifelongfriendshipsociety. It’s all about looking into a black mirror and seeing the creative energy burst back out at you. We think it’s very cool and the first in what we hope will be a series of short videos exploring what it really means to be lost at e minor. Hit us up if you’d like to have a go at creating one.
The work of Australia’s Ben Frost is always interesting. He’s known for his controversial art juxtapositions that confront contemporary Western paradigms in our advertising obsessed society. Crapitalism is on display until November 3 at Opus Gallery in Newcastle, UK. I do hope any disgruntled viewers refrain themselves from slashing his work with a knife, unlike the infamous 2000 Australian episode.

When you first hear William Elliot Whitmore’s voice, it’s hard to believe he isn’t a grizzled old man. The baritone-voiced one-man-band does rousing bar room ballads on the banjo and guitar that are sure to send shivers down your spine. On closer listen, Whitmore’s voice does seem slightly affected. But like Tom Waits before him, his voice is likely to age like a good scotch.
