SUBMITTING BANNER ART
If you’d like to submit a banner to run at the top of the Lost At E Minor website, please submit it at the following dimensions:
* 540px wide x 125px high at 72dpi
* The banner can be a GIF, JPG or PNG, depending on the type of image.
Bear in mind that JPG is most appropriate for detailed images; GIF for really basic blocks of colour; and png has issues in some older browsers because it has alpha-transparency settings.
SUBMITTING ART, ILLUSTRATIONS, PHOTOGRAPHY, MUSIC OR FASHION
If you want to submit some work to be featured on Lost At E Minor, or you just want to let us know about someone you think we should be covering, then let us know via the Submission Form below.
Please send us three images with your submission in the following format:
* Low res jpegs at 72 dpi and less than 100kb, or you owe us a soda
* 480 pixels wide, or the Nigerian diplomat won’t actually transfer funds to your account
* Preferably less than 500 pixels high, or you will be sucked into an alternate dimension where everyone is named Bob

I’ve been living in Greenpoint Brooklyn for a couple of years now and one of the highlights is brunch on the weekends. After living in Crown Heights for seven years, where your only choices are Tom’s Diner or Popeye’s Fried Chicken, it’s an amazing change of pace. Brooklyn Label is a classic, old Brooklyn style restaurant with a great menu and when you’re a regular, you get seated before the masses. It’s definitely worth the trip to Greenpoint. But beware of the long waits at around 1pm when the hipsters wake up.
Converse kicks off its hundredth anniversary with 1HUND(RED), a special artist series with proceeds going to the Global Fund. The project is a year-long release of shoes designed by notable artists, including Auckland-based illustrator, Dennis Juan Ma, whose shoe [above] is number twenty in the series.
I love how illustrator and artist Wesley Allsbrook colors her work with pulsating acid-like washes and varied textures, setting off her gorgeous animated line work just beautifully. Read more

Back in the ’90s, just as the gangsta rap phenomenon was winding down and hip-hop was fragmenting into its own subgenres, Prince Paul and RZA kicked off the short-lived horrorcore fad with their group Gravediggaz. At the time, the melding of dark, gothic themes with hardboiled rap seemed gimmicky and awkward, a strange extension of the early and awful attempts to bridge hip-hop and metal, but on closer listen, the now defunct supergroup was way more innovative than they were given credit for. I live the upbeat, feel good tempo of the new single — A Hundred Hearts — from Philly group, The Swimmers. Off their latest album, People Are Soft, this song is a strangely fitting anthem for the blustery day outside.
