Zeh Palito paints on both canvas and the streets, infusing his world with a fun, playful energy. Palito’s unicorns find themselves well within the composition. They know where the party is and they know how to dance.
Jonwayne’s album Bowser feels like an epic. We go through each part of the story as if a hero within a video game. Bowser has its fair share of dungeon levels, but this is well weighted by the hard-earned tastes of triumph littered throughout.
Listening to Cities Aviv reminds me of my first summer with a car. Aviv’s flow does whatever it wants on top the dreamy beats of Digital Lows. Float On is a perfect example of this. I imagine Aviv heard this Modest Mouse cover and knew exactly what to do with it.
Quite simply, Alvaro Tapia’s illustrations provoke engagement. They grab you quickly and they hold you. Even though many of Tapia’s pieces are mysterious and sinister, I always leave the work feeling charged.
