Rigaer 105 is a non-commercial project room based in Berlin. It attempts to operate in a non-consumerist and non-capitalist way and it’s run on volunteer basis by young people from across Europe. WhiteSpac3 is a recently launched arts community website. Instead of meaning a blank space, the suggestive name refers to an important element in the aesthetic composition. In design, the white or negative space is what enables objects to exist due to the contradiction with the positive (non-white) elements. It’s a very appropriate concept for a project that wants to be a free space for Australian creative minds, connecting them with galleries and art lovers.

Sydney-based artist Rebecca Hillis has a wonderful obsession for gypsy characters, female bodies, and dancing. All of this together, sometimes. Her mix of abstract and impressionism seems to evoke a transient world where women are either divas or devils. She is now showing in Melbourne at the Amethyst Art Space.
Chapel Hill-based printmaker Bill Fick makes awesomely grotesque faces and creatures with linocuts, silkscreens, and tempera paint. They have a vintage feel to them, as if the rotted remains ’50s advertising images have risen from the dead. Read more
