Funky new clothes from the Fall/Winter collection of Jeremy Scott. Check out Bartman, funky emoticons, and other random goofiness. The first time you look you may shriek in horror, but after a few looks you might warm up to a melting smiley face on your chest.
I love the movie Koyaanisqatsi and the whole Qatsi trilogy by Godfrey Reggio and I really don’t think you should watch the following clip unless you have seen the films. But this is pretty amazing to watch for those of you who would love a refresher. Koyaanisqatsi speed up at 1552 percent speed is an […]
The video for Honeydrum’s new song, Traci’s on the Phone, is sort of a warped 80’s k-hole of that era’s graphics and fashion. It’s cheesy neon bliss for the masses, taken from the EP from AMDiscs called Pleasures of the Sun.
I’m loving the wild and wonderful work of graphic artist Zansky. Working in silkscreen, letterpress, and woodcut, Zansky has his finger on the pulse of some acidic heartbeat, pumping out some freaky imagery for the masses.
Every once and a while, a video will come along that totally does justice to the song. And then there are those who elevate the song to a whole new level. This does both. M83’s Wait might be one of the best videos I’ve seen in a long time.
I am just not sure how I feel about this one, Duck Sauce’s The Big Bad Wolf. Disturbingly funny and weird, it sorta takes off where the awesome absurdity of Barbara Streisand left off. Check it!
Check out the new documentary, From the Sky Down, on the making of U2’s seminal album, Achtung Baby, directed by Oscar-winner, Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth).
Battles has teamed up with Matias Aguayo for a random messed-up madness. Ice Cream is a wonky freak out full of florescent mud fighting, karate standoffs, and lots of licking.
Sometimes I stand in awe at the creativity that surrounds me. This is a prime example. Video camera, scotch tape, awesome sounds. Tape Generations is the best video I’ve seen in a while, featuring amazing work by Johan Rijpma.
This bubbly little acid house anthem will make you want to stay out all night at the club or seek out old ceramic figurines. Either way, you can’t go wrong. I Want To Go Out is taken from Terranova’s forthcoming album, Hotel Amour, for Kompakt.
This cool new video by Charlotte Gainsbourg has her dancing with clones in a parking garage to some Beck produced electronic synthy weirdness. Looking forward to hearing the new Terrible Angels EP on September 6.
This is a fun new video by Toro Y Moi. Like scenes cut from that 1990s movie, The Frighteners, it’s a perfect goof-off, with colors from outerspace and funky animation on top of a great end of Summer song. How I Know is taken from the album Underneath the Pine.
