Illustrating some of the 24 hour Punjabi I would have gone to in the West Midlands (the home of AC/DC abroad), Sroop Sunar creates very distinctive and colourful work. I like the way it references colonial imagery and Indian culture, but brings them up to date.
Stewy does a range of stencils of indigenous British animals and the odd musical characters in and around a specific area of North London. I’ve seen his work develop from black and white to multiple colour and small to large scale. It started with cats and dogs, and he recently did a full-scale horse. I love walking around town and seeing a great page in a magazine without paying for it.
Up and coming young studio Rocket Science Lab based in Bangalore, India, is a multidisciplinary outfit that deals with inventions in the motion field. A year old, the lab has managed to invent some eclectic works that usually is a blend of live action, stop frame and animation.
