The indie, electronic pop duo Plastic Operator paired up whilst studying audio production at London’s Westminster University. In 2004, they released their first three track EP. Their music reminds me of bands like The Fashion, Crystal Castles and Cut Copy.

How to Wrap Five More Eggs: Traditional Japanese Packaging by Hideyuki Oka is an easy read with the story told primarily through the book’s pictures. As the title suggests, it’s all about a traditional form of Japanese packaging, which mostly incorporates food. The idea behind it is that when you present someone with a cake, for instance, and it’s nicely packaged, that they get a feeling that you want them to enjoy the cake. The five eggs of the title are bound with straw and woven in an indigenous way.
French filmmaker, Michel Gondry, has done it again with his new film Be Kind Rewind. Exhibiting his talent and creativity, Gondry, now based in New York, has written a story of two childhood friends in Passaic, New Jersey who set out to remake lost films. He experiments with the reactions of his actors, using his alternative theory of movie making to leave a lasting impression.
